Videos.
Here is a collection of some videos that I have made. They have been originally shot in 16x9 widescreen on miniDV, or 16x9 widescreen on HDV (High Definition). High Definition video is tagged with HD, and is downsampled to 720p to lower the file size, which for Full-HD video is huge.
NOTE: MPEG2-TS is a slightly different video type to MPEG2 video. MPEG2-TS is the default file format for High Definition video. You might not be able to play it back on a Windows XP or Vista machine, needing you to install additional CODEC's. MPEG2-TS is not the same as MPEG2 video.

Description: A video showing an edited journey between London Waterloo and Paris Gare du Nord, recorded in July 2007. It combines some of the video clips on Youtube into one to make a proper "story". I'd like to thank Eurostar and SNCF Ile de France for their help with the video. Link to the video. |

Description: A clip showing the moon at day break / dawm, it was recorded fast because the darkness was fading fast. The camcorder was switched to manual mode and changed the cameras exposure level. This was still too little to cut the brightness of the moon, so a dark filter from an SLR camera was used to darken the image. Despite increasing the bit rate for this clip, it still looks like the moon has a halo effect, and the red text in the image looks strange. NONE of this is in the original shot video but being High Definition, the original is a large file size (and 21MB is already large for a less than 1 minute clip!) Link to the video. |
